Myriam Gourfink Breath Structure in situ

Guided in her practice by the breath and yoga breathing techniques, choreographer Myriam Gourfink adapts her piece Breath Structure to an in-situ performance, featuring seven dancers and a composer, within the spaces of the exhibition.The captivated public can move freely from one room to another, attentively listening to the various breathing rhythms.

Surrounded by their artistic community, the enchanting musician and producer Lafawndah and artist Trustfall present Inanna’s songbooks for the first time to the public. This piece is a working version of their future pop-chamber music creation, La Descente d’Inanna (The Descent of Inanna), freely adapted from one of the oldest Mesopotamian myths.

The Biennale of Sydney, Sydney Opera House and the Fondation Cartier

The Biennale of Sydney, Sydney Opera House and the Fondation Cartier join forces through a creative partnership on commissioning, presenting and promoting First Nations artists from all over the world within the Biennale of Sydney program starting March 2024.

Starting 15 December 2023, the powerful new projection commissioned by the Fondation Cartier will display the works of two celebrated First Nations artists, Gail Mabo, and Nikau Hindin, exploring the ancient practices of celestial navigation. The Fondation Cartier and the Biennale of Sydney support the latest chapter of its free, nightly First Nations sails lighting, Badu Gili, on the Opera House's Bennelong sails.
