Bruce Albert et Davi Kopenawa, Yanomami, l’esprit de la forêt
Co-published with Actes Sud, this book gathers texts by French anthropologist Bruce Albert, undisputed specialist of the Yanomami, and Davi Kopenawa, one of the most respected shamans of this people inhabiting a vast forest territory in northwestern Brazil. Sharing their voices, their views and their sensibilities along with those of artists and scientists, their texts evoke the shamanic perspective of the Yanomami, the images and sounds of the Amazonian Forest, the complexity of its biodiversity and the threat of its destruction.

This publication offers to discover the singular and colorful work of Aboriginal painter Sally Gabori. Telling the extraordinary trajectory of this artist who created her first painting in 2005 around the age of 80 and is one of Australia’s most important artists, it gathers more than 90 works by the artist, each one celebrating the lights and landscapes of her native island.
